I am 24 weeks pregnant and I have miscarried 5 times. I had my cervix stitched shut this time and I was just wondering is it normal to have went from a 5.3cm to a 4.0cm in just a week although it was two different doctors that done the measurements can that make a difference? I am just so worried about this pregnancy that I want everything to go right! Is it normal for the baby to feel like she is kicking me in the pelvic bone?
It can be normal. I have what you call an incompetent cervix as well and I am currently 23 weeks and 5 days and on bedrest as we speak in the hopital and my length as of Tuesday was 1.3 centimeters. You are doing wonderful and just stay calm. The measurements are not always exact, but it is very possible for your cervix length to shortened. I went from 5 centimeters to 1.5 centimeters in 2 weeks. Just to be on the safe side consult with your doctor and you should be going to get check ups every two weeks and take it easy. You are 24 weeks so you are doing well and most specialists that deal with this issue should take the necessary precautions if something may be wrong. Yes it is very normal to feel like the baby is kicking you in your pelvic bone and it also depends how the baby is lying in the uterus. I pray that everything goes well and to be on the safe side inquire with your doctor about steriod shots to help with the maturity of the baby lungs if you do fear that the baby will be born prematurely.

Is my employer suppposed to be this much involved in my personal health or is this a HIPPA violation?
y employer is giving me a really hard time lately. I am 34wks pregnant. I live in NYC. So far, I've been really sick, morning sickness, flu, bells palsy, high blood pressure, etc. However, I am not considered high risk or complicated just that I've been getting sick throughtout the belly. They've asked me to have my dr update my FMLA forms 3 times and now they're asking for a 4th because my paperwork does not say anything about me being high risk or complicated so I should not be out of the office if I'm feeling sick or whatever because nothing in my paperwork supports the fact that I can just wake up one morning and feel horrible. I don't know what else to do or what they want. It's getting too stressful to run back to my dr everytime they need more stuff.
Your company only has to comply with the restrictions your Dr. places on you, up to and including bedrest, and hold your job during that time. If your pregnency isn't "complicated" then they can require a normal work day from you just as they would anyone else. Get a different Dr. who will restrict you further if you are being made to do more then you feel you ought to.
