I just started the cycle of provera for ten days and then clomid for days 3-7. I was wondering how many people got pregnant on the first round of clomid, and if not how long did it take you???

If the Clomid works for you (helps you ovulate) and you have no other fertility issues than you have 25% chance of conceiving just like all the fertility issue free people. However 60% of women who take Clomid and ovulate, conceive in 6 rounds, so it actually seems like maybe your chance of getting pregnant on Clomid are a little higher. My doctor told me that in his experience a women who ovulates with the help of Clomid on the first cycle will typically go on to conceive in the first three cycles. I didn't conceive on my first round but we were kind of getting the hang of the whole ttc thing. Clomid does tend to dry up your cervical mucus so you should look into getting some pre seed, sperm friendly lubricant, so that the sperm have a hospitable place to hang out while waiting for your egg. I am on my 2nd round and I am very hopeful that this is my month, only 3 days left to go. Good luck and may 2010 bring us both babies.
