There are loads of folks who endure yeast infections and almost all women are going to have one at some time in their life that will need to be taken care of.

There are times, however, whenever yeast infections begin to recur regularly and they may even get to the point where they can be considered as a chronic yeast infection. What exactly makes a yeast infection get to this stage and what is there that we can do about it?Subsequently, a lot of us with chronic candida have merely given up on ever doing anything about them altogether.

In order to understand why we can get chronic yeast infections, you need to first understand why you get a yeast infection in the first place.Yeast is there all around us at all times and it's also in our body multiple times.Ususally, a healthful body is able to ward off the yeast by using some of the good bacteria that is present in it.

It is only whenever this bacteria begins to disappear from our body that the yeast is able to get a foothold.  This typically occurs whenever we experience long periods of sickness or perhaps when we are taking antibiotics for some kind of other infection.

What is the number one thing that most folks do when they get a yeast infection?  They run to the drugstore and get cream that promises to be able to take care of the problem within just a few days.Although it does a good job of helping us to feel more comfortable, it dosen't address the root cause of the problem.

How this works is that it reduces the amount of yeast in our body but it is leaving the stronger yeast behind. If it grows again, and it's likely that it will, it becomes a stronger infection that is much more tough to treat. For each consecutive yeast infection, it will get stronger still, until it becomes a super infection.

If you have reached this point, where your yeast infections are chronic, you can try treating the condition naturally. The simplest way is to apply 100% natural yogurt to the area and to eat yogurt on a daily basis.  You might also want to consider drinking some apple cider vinegar daily as well as eating a clove of garlic. These natural foods can help assist in bringing your body back into balance so that it is strong enough to fight the infection instead of you having to resort to drugs.

Women have long been the ones who have been thought of as the cause of any infertility problem. This has been proven to be very untrue, as men are responsible for anywhere from 40% to 50% of the infertility issues that plague couples. If a couple tries to conceive and they are not able, then it will likely be the woman who will seek help for infertility and whatever the cause may be.

However, medical science is now aware that men are just as likely as women to be the cause of any infertility issues that come about. Now that we know this, it makes it easier to get right down to treatment instead of assigning blame.

There are many explanations for male infertility. They can be anything from lifestyle and family history to medical issues or testicular injuries. Some common problems associated with male fertility are hypogonadism and varicocele or azoopermia, which can typically be treated depending on the severity. Studies show males who smoke cigarettes or marijuana or consume large amounts of alcohol tend to have reduced sperm counts and a lower quality of sperm.

Another study suggests that males who have taken certain antidepressant drugs had lower sperm counts as well. There are also other studies that have linked obesity with reduced or lower sperm counts. Issues with family history can also cause infertility.

Yet another family related cause may be the use of certain medicines or drugs by the effected male's mother during her pregnancy with him. Some studies point towards environmental exposures, such as radiation exposure or excessive heat, as playing a role in reproductive health.

If corrections are needed, then the good news is that there are many surgical procedures and medications available to help with complications of infertility and trying to conceive. The male partner will usually be examined by a specialist and/or a urologist as well.

The doctor will want to test the quality of the man's sperm to determine the sperm count and the rate of mobility. If there is some sort of a blockage, then that has a good chance of it being treated and fixed. In the case where sperm is not abundant in the semen, the doctor can actually go into the tubes and retrieve sperm through a medical procedure. There are other causes as well, but most can be solved with the use of fertility drugs.

As a society, we are becoming more and more aware of infertility and the causes, as well as more options for treatment. This is also taking the burden off of the woman and the assumption that she is the responsible partner when it comes to fertility and pregnancy. In about half of all cases, the problem lies within the male partner, allowing the couples to seek and therefore find the issue of infertility earlier.

Partners are now confronting the problem as a couple, rather than the woman taking responsibility. This is leading to a quicker diagnoses and less emotional distress, not to mention allowing the couple to get pregnant and conceive quicker.

Abortion Analogy?

Arguements against abortion state that it is wrong for the mother to end the pregnancy because there is a living person that needs her support in order to live. What if woke up in the morning after a night of partying and saw that someone against your will connected you to themself for around the clock kidney dialysis? In this situation you are connected around the clock and if you become unnconected the other person will die. Also you will have to be connected for nine months, and being connected for this period of time will almost certainly kill you at the end. Do you have the right in this situation to end the connection? And if you do does that right translate into a women's right to end her pregnancy in cases of rape or danger to herself?

i am an older married man, and probably not a very good catholic, as i personally feel that abortion is strictly a womans issue. only a woman knows her own heart, body ,and soul. men and women are not created equal, if you dont believe me stand naked in front of a mirror with the opposite sex. i think you will find we are not created equal. in the case of rape, if i were a woman? there is no way in hell i would want the child around to torment me for the rest of my life, but some people are more forgiving than myself, and i am not a woman. search your own heart for the right answer to your decision, peace be with you always.

Am I pregnant, period late, neg pregnancy test...?

I've been on Ortho Tricyclen Lo for 3 months now, and its the first birth control I've ever used. I've taken it exactly as instructed, taking the pill every night within the same 2 hour time frame. I began to be sexually active at about 2 1/2 weeks on the pill, and I still am. My first period on the pill was normal as I started taking the pill with the period. My second period was a week early and about 10 days long instead of my normal 7, and was extremely light at the beginning and heavier the last few days (I.E. weird for me). I've never been quite regular on my periods but they usually start a week ahead or behind the time of the last month's cycle. I'd say I'm now exactly a week late from last month's cycle. I took a home pregnancy test and it turned up negative. The thing is that I've been having menstrual cramps for the past 5 days and no period. This hasn't happened before. Is it still possible I'm pregnant, or is the pill hurting my body and maybe I should get off of it?

The funny thing about Birth Control pills is that sometimes you wont get your period when you're on them. But that can be confusing, because you also stop getting your period when you're pregnant. The remedy for this is take a pregnancy test when you stop getting your period, just to be sure. The likely hood is that you are NOT pregnant.

About your other symptoms: I recommend looking up your medication and reading the listed side effects. Here are a few common side effects that come with most birth control:

Nausea
Vomiting
Gastrointestinal symptoms (such as abdominal cramps and bloating)
Breakthrough bleeding
Spotting
Change in menstrual flow
Amenorrhea [Stop of the period altogether]
Temporary infertility after discontinuation of treatment
Melasma which may persist
Breast changes: tenderness, enlargement, secretion
Change in weight (increase or decrease)
Change in cervical erosion and secretion
Cholestatic jaundice
Migraine
Rash (allergic)
Mental depression
Reduced tolerance to carbohydrates
Intolerance to contact lenses

If you're still worried or things get really bad, talk to your doctor, thats always the best option. Talking to him or her should always be the first thing you do before stopping or starting any medications!!! =]

Planned Parenthood: What is the Abortion Pill?

You guys are probably tired of me asking stuff, but this is seriously important.?

I'm 37 weeks and 6 days pregnant right now (may as well say 38 weeks) and I had a doctor's appointment today. He said that I was 1cm dilated and my mucus plug was gone. Says that I still shouldn't go for another few weeks though. Well this evening I was getting ready to change into my pajamas to go to sleep and a little bit of fluid trickled out. It didn't continue that I know of (wearing a pantyliner right now to see if anything is continuing to come out) and I'm not sure if I had a contraction after or not. If I did, it was a Braxton-Hicks I'm guessing because it didn't hurt. Just a lot of pressure. Did my water just break and am I going into labor, or was my discharge just weird because of the pelvic? It wasn't sweet-smelling OR ammonia-scented and it was just clear. Not creamy, nothing like that. Clear and odorless. HELP??

If you were going into labor you would most likely know. If you are having doubts, call your doctor. No one online can tell you for sure what exactly is happening.

Has anyone tried FertileCM?

I don't think that I get that EWCM stuff. I have never noticed before that I got it and we have been TTC for 2 years now. I have been researching and reading that you are supposed to get EWCMaround your fertile period but I don't think I get this or maybe I don't get enough to notice. I found this stuff called FertileCM on www.early-pregnancy-tests.com and it seems to have some pretty good reviews. I want to purchase some to try it but I am short on money so I am wondering if anyone on yahoo answers has tried it and what they thought. I just don't want to waste my money. If anyone has any OTHER tips or suggestions please let me know as well. I have tried pre-seed which was nice but so far has not worked and I have purchased an ovulation predictor kit from walmart which gave me a positive for ovulation but I did not get prg. This month I am hoping to try pre-seed, Fertile CM, and ovulation strips and see if that works.

Ok I know exactly how you feel about the money thing. So what you can do is instead of fertile cm buy Evening primrose oil (EPO) which only cost a few dollars & can be purchased from any drugstore or vitamin shop. It does the same thing I am using it now & I have noticed the EWCM since I began. I read the story on fertile cm, but I said why bother & the EPO is working fine.

So try that, good luck & baby dust to you!
